Family Assistant - Household Staffing : Job Details

Busy Mompreneur in Arlington, VA Seeking a Live In Family Assistant

• Position: Full Time- Live in
• Schedule: 9 year old daughter splits her time between mom and dad's house. When she is with mom- Monday-Friday 11-7, when she is with her dad- 9-5 or 10-6. When mom travels- schedule will include caring for her loving Golden Doodle.
• Salary: [$30-$40 per hour / $62,400.00-$83,200.00 per year, depending on experience level and skills
• Start Date: ASAP

About the Family A busy mom (Arlington, Virginia) with a 9 year old daugther looking for an experienced family assistant to help her with different aspects of managing her home, cooking and childcare. If you feel you are experienced in some of these tasks but not all, still apply!

• Children: One child 9 years old
• Household Staff: Deep cleaner comes 2 times per month

Responsibilities

• Drive child to activities
• Meal prep lunches and dinners- they eat a healthy diet- so someone who understands this is preferred
• Grocery Shopping
• Teach child to take responsibility of her belongings and personal space
• Pack/unpack backpacks, including lunches and snacks- ensure child has all supplies needed each day
• Assist with homework and studying
• Supervise child during bedtime to ensure she is showered and teeth are brushed
• Laundry and ironing
• Walking the dog, taking to vet or groomer- overnight pet care when mom travels
• Making beds
• Keep house organized and stocked
• Light housekeeping
• Run errands

This person should be warm and have some experience with children, should have a positive attitude, and be respectful. Mom is seeking someone who is looking for long-term placement and will become a valued part of their household. Requirements

• Prior experience in a similar role in a private household
• Excellent references
• Legal to work in the United States
• Driver's license and clean driving record
