Insomniac produces some of the most innovative, immersive music festivals and events worldwide, featuring state-of-the-art lighting, pyrotechnics, sound design, large-scale art installations, theatrical performers, and next-generation effects. Our events captivate the senses and inspire fan interaction, with our top priority being the Headliner experience.
We produce 10,000 concerts, club nights, and festivals annually for seven million attendees across 13 countries. Our flagship event, Electric Daisy Carnival Las Vegas, is the world's largest dance music festival, attracting over 525,000 fans over three days. Founded in 1993 by Pasquale Rotella and based in Los Angeles, Insomniac is a leader in the industry.
THE ROLE
The Social Media Manager will lead content distribution strategies across platforms, develop new digital business opportunities, and define strategic plans for all digital channels. This role reports to the Marketing Campaign & Sales Manager.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute social media content calendar for Factory Town across platforms (Instagram, TikTok, X, Threads, Facebook, YouTube Shorts, etc.)
- Strategize around product launches, artist collaborations, capsule collections, and festival drops
- Create buzz-worthy content and campaigns based on seasonal and event opportunities
- Shoot, edit, and optimize short-form videos and static content for each platform
- Coordinate product lifestyle shoots and capture UGC-style content with talent, influencers, or internal teams
- Collaborate with graphic designers, photographers, and videographers to bring merch stories to life
- Write creative captions and select content that aligns with each brand
- Monitor trends in dance music and pop culture to keep content relevant
- Partner with experience teams to address customer inquiries and social feedback
- Create social reports on sales, events, and announcements
- Support on-site duties at events and festivals
- Recruit, train, and onboard team members and partners
- Monitor analytics to evaluate performance and refine strategies
- Prepare weekly and monthly KPI reports (reach, engagement, traffic, conversions)
- Test new formats, conduct A/B testing, and explore emerging platforms
- Assist in onboarding team members, clients, vendors, and partners
- Travel may be required (economy)
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Marketing or related field/experience
- 4+ years' experience in social media marketing, ideally in apparel, streetwear, or music/lifestyle brands
- 2-4 years of management experience, including leading and developing teams
- Familiarity with festivals, artists, fan communities, and electronic music culture
- Strong design, branding, and aesthetic sense
- Proficiency in content creation, filming, editing, and posting across platforms; comfortable on-camera and directing talent
- Excellent organizational and communication skills; ability to manage multiple projects
- Proficiency in Adobe Suite, CapCut, Canva, or similar tools
- Knowledge of Shopify and e-commerce practices
- Photography or graphic design skills
- Knowledge of local music scene, venues, and nightclubs
- Self-starter with meticulous attention to detail
- Experience with social media management tools (HootSuite, TweetDeck, Sprinklr)
- Strong grammar, copywriting, and asset selection skills
- Basic knowledge of Adobe Photoshop, GIF creation, and content apps
- Experience working on-site at concerts, festivals, or large events
WORK ENVIRONMENT
- Willing to travel and work during holidays, evenings, and weekends as needed
- Ability to tolerate loud noise and temperature variations at event sites
- Work in open office spaces

HIRING PRACTICES

Salary Range: $70,000 - $80,000 USD. Compensation depends on experience, education, location, and other factors, in line with California law.
