Factory Automation Engineer - John Deere : Job Details

As a Factory Automation Engineer for John Deere Waterloo Works located in Waterloo, IA you will: - Lead the design and update of electrical systems, schematics, and programming for machines and shop floor equipment, including HM - Is and PLCs. - Maintain effective communication between shop-floor tools, PLC controls, SCADA systems, and MES. - Execute complex controls engineering tasks, coordinating with cross-functional teams, external professionals, and contractors. - Provide timely support during production downtime to minimize impacts on manufacturing and maintenance. - Support the integration and networking of shop floor machines and equipment with site MES and PLC systems. - Keep thorough documentation of engineering designs and processes to ensure compliance with industry standards. - Identify and implement opportunities for process enhancements. - Collaborate effectively with teams, communicating project progress, challenges, and technical needs.
