Overview Herzog Technologies Inc. is currently seeking a Facilities Systems Technician in Fort Worth, TX to join our team. The Facilities Systems Technician is responsible for the installation, maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting of heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) systems. This role requires a thorough understanding of HVAC equipment, components, and systems to ensure optimal performance, energy efficiency, and safety standards compliance. Duties and Responsibilities: *This is a non-exhaustive overview of the job duties for this position. Install, maintain, and repair HVAC systems including heating units, air conditioning units, ventilation systems, ductwork, and controls. Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance tasks on HVAC systems to identify and address potential issues before they escalate. Diagnose malfunctions in HVAC systems using technical knowledge, diagnostic tools, and troubleshooting techniques. Perform repairs and replacements of faulty components such as motors, compressors, coils, filters, and thermostats. Ensure compliance with all relevant codes, regulations, and safety standards in the installation and servicing of HVAC systems. Collaborate with other technicians, contractors, and clients to coordinate project requirements and schedules effectively. Keep accurate records of work performed, including maintenance logs, service reports, and equipment inventory. Regular and consistent engagement, participation and promotion of Herzog's Culture and its essential behaviors are a requirement for this position. Regular and predictable attendance and punctuality are a requirement for this position. Other duties as assigned. Qualifications: High School diploma or equivalent. Completion of a formal HVAC training program or apprenticeship preferred. Proven experience as an HVAC technician, with a minimum of 2 years in the field. Valid HVAC technician license or certification (e.g., EPA 608 certification) required. Valid driver's license with a clean driving record. Strong understanding of HVAC principles, equipment, and systems, including refrigeration cycles, electrical components, and mechanical operations. Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics. Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to diagnose and resolve complex HVAC issues efficiently. Knowledge of safety protocols and procedures related to HVAC installation, maintenance, and repair. Strong communication skills and customer service orientation. Pre-Employment Requirements: Subject to pre-employment background check and motor vehicle report review. Subject to pre-employment physical, medical evaluation, and drug screen. Successfully complete and maintain any required safety certification and testing on an annual basis. Physical Requirements: The physical demands described below must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential job functions of this role. This position will be physically demanding at times. This is a non-exhaustive overview of the physical requirements of this job. Regularly lift weight up to 75 pounds to a height of up to 56 inches. Regularly carry weight up to 75 pounds to a distance up to 100 feet. Regularly push/pull up to 50 pounds for a distance up to 50 feet. Regularly grasp or squeeze with forces up to 40 pounds. Regularly ascend and descend a 10 step ladder with up to 25 pounds. Frequently climb on/off equipment. Work in a confined access/space environment with a height of 12 inches and a width of 24 inches. Regularly kneel, bend, squat while transferring up to 25 pounds of weight. Regularly sit and stand for an extended period of time. Able to walk on uneven surfaces up to 1 mile. Regularly lay on back for extended periods of time. Regularly reach overhead while holding tools. Must be able to be aware of surroundings and follow verbal commands while being exposed to moderately loud noises on a daily basis. Must be able to adapt to various temperature extremes including but not limited to heat, cold, moisture and wind. Must be able to work in a safety sensitive work environment. Must successfully pass color/vision examinations as required by the position. Must be able to hear and distinguish auditory signals as required by the position Physical stamina and dexterity to work in various environments, including confined spaces, heights, and extreme temperatures.
