Job SummaryThe Facilities Supervisor oversees the installation, maintenance, and repair of facility systems and equipment. This role supervises a team of workers to ensure operational efficiency, safety, compliance and timely response to facility equipment needs. It also ensures supervision of contractors. This role manages a team of workers, inspects sites, maintains equipment, and assigns tasks. It requires strong technical aptitude, attention to detail, and proactive problem-solving.Essential Job FunctionsMaintenance Oversight & Emergency Response - Supervise a team of workers that perform and manage daily, emergency, and preventive maintenance tasks. Ensure prompt team response to emergency requests including after hours and maintain accurate records of site maintenance and repairs.HVAC System Management - Maintain, repair and ensure proper operation of HVAC rooftop units, monitor environmental conditions in critical areas (e.g. grow and server rooms)Contractor Supervision & Safety Compliance - Supervise and inspect work performed by external contractors and ensure compliance with OSHA standards and company safety policies.Work Order & Inventory Management - Efficiently complete and manage team resources, work orders, track inventory and usage of parts and materials and coordinate reorders proactively.Communication & Facility Knowledge - Maintain high level of facility knowledge, communicate regularly with Facilities Managers regarding conditions and needs, and promote a positive, safe work environment.Other Job ResponsibilitiesOversee teams and perform cleaning duties to maintain a sanitary environment.Research and implement new methods to improve operations.Adapt techniques based on changes in laws and regulations.Support other departments with facility-related needs.Participate in training and development activities.Perform other duties as assigned by management.Minimum Job RequirementsMust be 21 years of age or older and be able to pass a background check.Must be eligible to obtain and maintain a Registered Agent Card.Technical Qualifications - Vocational training, military experience, and/or HVAC certification, 5 to 7 years of experience with commercial HVAC systems, and valid certifications and licenses required.Physical Requirements - Ability to life 25 to 50 pounds and perform physical tasks.Effective Communication -able to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.Preferred Job RequirementsWork Environment Experience - in fast paced, start-up environment.Technical & Organizational Skills - strong organizational and time management skills combined with a high proficiency with hand and power tools.Ability to work independently and in teams.
