Job Purpose/SummaryThe Facilities Supervisor oversees all facility activities within the profit center, ensuring optimal utilization of resources to maintain a safe, healthy, and environmentally compliant facility. This role is responsible for supervising key personnel, managing budgets, and implementing best practices to support operational excellence.Essential Duties And Responsibilities
- Create and manage facility budgets.
- Supervise maintenance schedules and direct teams to maximize machine uptime.
- Define and implement best practices for maintenance and training.
- Analyze preventive maintenance plans and repair cost history to identify areas for improvement.
- Ensure compliance with environmental requirements, permitting, and reporting.
- Promote a healthy and safe work environment by defining safety best practices and delivering proper training.
- Supervise purchasing, supply crib management, and inventory control activities to minimize waste and implement cost-effective practices.
- Plan and execute additional projects as assigned by the General Manager.
Qualifications:
- A BS in Engineering with 3 years of experience in operations, facilities, or production; OR
- 7 years of experience in operations or facilities without a degree.
- Experience working with coatings or thermal spray is a plus but not required at this time
- aerospace is preferred but any industrial manufacturing experience will be considered
Work Environment: The role is onsite in a standard manufacturing shop. Eye protection is required in shop areas, and noise levels can be loud, requiring ear protection.Physical DemandsThe position involves sitting, standing, bending, and the ability to lift or move objects weighing up to 50 pounds.
