This job is with Encode, Inc a fully owned subsidiary of LancesoftJob Title: Facilities ManagerLocation: Vandenberg Space Force Base, Lompoc, CA Duration: 12 MonthsJob Summary:Client is seeking an experienced Facilities Management Professional to lead the onsite facilities team and contractors at the Integrated Processing Facility (IPF) located at Vandenberg Space Force Base. This role supports key customer missions and is responsible for space planning, construction oversight, operations, maintenance, and strategic facilities management.Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage all facility operations, maintenance, and construction activities at the Vandenberg IPF site.
  • Develop and manage capital projects and operating expense budgets, ensuring alignment with long-term business objectives.
  • Oversee space allocation, equipment layout, furniture planning, and communications/networking infrastructure planning.
  • Ensure facility compliance with all federal, state, and local building codes, safety guidelines, and regulations.
  • Manage preventive, routine, and emergency maintenance of all facilities and related equipment.
  • Utilize and maintain a facilities maintenance management system and work order tracking system.
  • Conduct facility inspections to assess HVAC systems, lighting, structural integrity, safety, and overall occupancy suitability.
  • Coordinate and supervise contractor activities and serve as liaison with government agencies on all facilities-related matters.
  • Support implementation and monitoring of health, safety, and physical security standards.
  • Contribute to the development and execution of the site's strategic facilities plan.
Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree with a minimum of 9 years of relevant experience, or
  • Graduate Degree with 7+ years of experience, or
  • In lieu of a degree, 13+ years of directly related facilities management experience.
  • Minimum of 4 years managing on-site facilities staff, vendors, and service providers.
  • Strong leadership and project management skills in a technical facilities environment.
  • Working knowledge of HVAC systems, maintenance procedures, space planning, and safety codes.
  • Proficient in facilities management systems and budgeting tools.
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen and able to pass a background check.
Preferred Skills:
  • Experience supporting aerospace or defense-related facilities.
  • Strong communication and coordination skills with internal teams and government stakeholders.
  • Familiarity with DoD or Space Force base operations.
