Job DescriptionThe Facilities Maintenance Technician is responsible for the operation and maintenance of the semiconductor factories' core systems and utilities. These systems include but are not limited to boilers, chillers, compressed air, thermal oxidizers, scrubbers, HVAC systems, wastewater, ultra-pure water, and many types of pumping systems. The position reports to the facilities operations manager. This is a Day shift position with a compressed work week schedule, featuring a C shift from 7:00 AM to 7:06 PM on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday, and every other Wednesday. (12 hr. shifts) with flexibility to cover vacations and callouts of other team members.ResponsibilitiesResponsibilities include:System Operations
- Use Rounds & Readings, SCADA and local instrumentation to monitor plant operations and maintain smooth consistent system operations.
- Identify and correct OOS conditions, identify and mitigate complex operational issues that may arise in the daily operations of complex system.
- Evaluate the performance of all systems and associated subsystems, identify specific process improvement needs, and provide recommendations for system upgrades.
- Work directly with Facilities Engineering on system installations or modifications to maximize equipment efficiency and reliability
Maintenance Activities
- Utilize CMMS, workplans, and rounds and readings to plan and execute preventative and corrective maintenance on complex systems, subsystems, and other equipment.
- Utilize CMMS and other institutional systems report and document all maintenance activities, OOS operational conditions, system changes and improvements.
- Perform diagnostics troubleshooting and repair of complex electrical, pneumatic, and mechanical systems and equipment.
Safety and Compliance
- Participate and complete training to include but not limited to RCRA/DOT, Forklift, MEWP, Confined Space, Fall Protection.
- Utilize PPE and other safety related gear and equipment to perform safe and effective maintenance and operations.
- Work near and with high- and low-temperature liquids, gases, hazardous chemicals, and operating machinery/equipment.
QualificationsQualifications
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Minimum of 2 years related experience.
- Able to work 7:00 AM - 7:06 PM), with the expectation to cover other shifts based on business needs.
Skills Required
- Self-motivated and able to work independently and in teams.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to follow work orders and written or verbal instructions.
- Proficiency in multitasking and managing competing priorities effectively.
- Capability to build and sustain positive and collaborative working relationships with colleagues, peers, customers.
- Ability to stand/work for up to 12 hours and lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
- Proficiency in operating motorized vehicles, trucks, forklifts, and MEWP.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office products.
