Position: Maintenance Engineer II / Facilities Engineer II, Req#: CRNGJP00028579
Location: Corning, NY (100% Onsite)
Duration: 12+ Months Contract with the high possibility of extension
The manager is open to candidates who are nonlocal and willing to relocate at their own expense.
Interview process:
1st Round: Virtual Phone Screen via TEAMS with the supervisor (30 minutes)
2nd Round: Panel Interview with 2-3 leaders via TEAMS (45-60 minutes). Local candidates may interview in person.
Job Description:
This position is less hands-on. It is more advisory. General knowledge on all types of Facilities and maintenance equipment required (doesn't need to be an SME on anything specific). Candidates must have strong leadership skills that can go and audit locations and help give suggestions on how to standardize the client's maintenance/facilities organizations.
Education and Experience:
- BS in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering or related technical degree strongly preferred
- Minimum Experience: 3-5 years
- Experience working in a Maintenance/Facilities department within an actual Manufacturing Plant
- Working with a Computerized Maintenance Management System
- Maintaining Preventive Maintenance Schedules
- Troubleshooting manufacturing equipment
- Planning Work/Activities
- Supervising Trades
- Running Installation Projects (budgets/safety/schedule)
- Proficient in Operating Maximo.
- Experience with Smart sensors and evaluating their uses.
- Strong leadership/team skills
- Desire awareness of Industrial automation, such as PLC, OPC, SCADA, Historian, CMMS.
- Strong understanding of Maintenance measures/metrics.
TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS
- Travel could be up to 50% depending on the project
- Position will be based in Corning, NY.
- Travel to a site will be required for evaluations, audits and implementing solutions/improvements.
WORK SCHEDULE
- Typical 40 hours per week. May require working weekends/holidays or longer days to support travel schedule
Job Responsibilities:
- A Maintenance Engineer needs to have the skillset to ensure manufacturing/facility assets operate efficiently by knowing how to perform installations, scheduled maintenance, emergency repairs, while also managing projects, inspecting systems, and troubleshooting complex problems using diagnostic tools and technical knowledge.
- Key responsibilities for this position are to use the previously mentioned skills to develop and maintain corporate maintenance standards, the ability to accurately audit existing manufacturing plants to evaluate and implement corporate standards and working with new manufacturing plants to build maintenance organizations from the ground up, all while having a strong working knowledge of Maximo (CMMS) to support Maximo administrators across our industry in standardizing their operation.
- Additionally, you will need a strong knowledge of setting up Condition-based Maintenance (CbM) programs assisting our plants in the effort to convert their current maintenance strategies from calendar-based programs to fully automated CbM programs.
- This individual will engage and guide customers to business requirements and then use those requirements to scope, budget, schedule, and deliver corporate standards to meet the customers' needs.
