Facilities Carpenter - GE Vernova : Job Details

PRIMARY FUNCTION - Under general supervision measure, cut, and shape wood, plastic, and other materials. Construct and install building frameworks, including walls, floors, and doorframes. Inspect and replace damaged framework or other structures and fixtures. Instruct and direct laborers and other construction helpers. DUTIES & RESPONSIBLITIES - Installs forms, walls, floors, ceilings, and roofs using materials such as: wood, steel, metal, concrete, plastics, and composites of multiple materials. Fits and installs window frames, doors, door frames, door hardware, interior and exterior trim using a carpenters level, plumb bob, and laser levels. Fits, sands, installs doors and windows including trim and hardware. Studies specifications in blueprints, sketches, or building plans to prepare project layout and determine dimensions and materials required.
