Fabricator Responsibilities

Fabricators are responsible for fabricating and assembling polyethylene pipe to create customized structures such as fittings, valves, T's, Y's, elbows, aqua shields, geothermal vaults, manholes, dual containment units, pumps, gas aeration lines, and other customer-specific structures. Responsibilities include:

  • Reading and interpreting blueprints, product drawings, and order tickets to determine necessary materials, tools, and equipment.
  • Following quality control procedures to ensure products meet customer specifications.
  • Maintaining accurate records of materials used and managing inventory accordingly.
  • Keeping the work area and equipment clean, adhering to safety procedures to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Operating fusion and fast fusion equipment, cranes, and forklifts.
  • Using various hand tools, saws, and cutting equipment; performing additional related duties as assigned.
  • Possessing basic computer skills.
  • Being able to lift up to 40 lbs regularly and stand for extended periods.
