HYATT CENTRIC MURANO VENICE is the lifestyle hotel in the heart of the Venetian lagoon, serving as the starting point for guests who want to discover Venice and its islands at a leisurely pace, away from the more hectic and touristy spots. Murano, the island of glass, offers an authentic Venetian experience and a chance to rediscover Venice through the eyes of its inhabitants.

We are seeking a skilled Food & Beverage Manager to lead our food & beverage operations with a focus on innovation, organization, customer service, and cost control. The ideal candidate has experience working for an international hotel chain, managing a team of at least 20 staff across multiple outlets, and is knowledgeable about HACCP regulations.

Our hotel features three Food & Beverage outlets: the gourmet Ristorante Osteriva, renowned on Murano for seafood and fish; the Laguna-side Rivalonga Caffè; and the Spritz & Fizz Cocktail Bar. We also offer room service and banqueting facilities.

Responsibilities:

  • Represent the F&B Operations team to guests and lead the food & beverage staff by example, providing courteous service.
  • Manage staff scheduling, onboarding, training, and supervision.
  • Address guest requests and respond promptly to complaints.
  • Ensure compliance with HACCP and safety regulations.
  • Coordinate budget planning for the department and maintain cost efficiency.
  • Regularly reforecast and adjust plans accordingly.
  • Collaborate effectively with other departments and participate in meetings and calls.

Key Duties:

  • Oversee food preparation, station organization, and cleanliness.
  • Maintain professional relationships with colleagues, suppliers, and guests.
  • Promote teamwork and a collaborative environment.
  • Ensure HACCP compliance in daily operations.
  • Monitor equipment use and maintenance.
  • Perform other duties as assigned and attend training sessions.
  • Maintain high standards of personal presentation and grooming.

Customer Service Focus:

  • Deliver the brand promise through exceptional guest service.
  • Provide excellent internal service to other departments.
  • Handle guest and internal inquiries courteously and efficiently.
  • Foster positive interactions with guests and colleagues.
Qualifications

Skills & Experience:

  • Experience managing multiple outlets in a similar role.
  • Ability to work independently with a focus on quality.
  • Flexibility, commitment, and adaptability to change.
  • Innovative mindset and contribution of new ideas.
  • Resilience and composure under pressure.
  • Experience in seasonal environments is a plus.
  • Proficiency in English; knowledge of Italian is advantageous but not mandatory.
