VACANCY BULLETINPositions: Extracurricular Assignment - Homebound Site Coordinator/Teacher Length of Employment: Instructional Term for Students As Needed Salary Range: Hourly Rate Professional Daily Salary Qualifications: The successful candidate must hold a valid West Virginia Professional Teaching Certificate at the grade level appropriate for this assignment (grades 9-12). A regularly employed educator from the school location is preferred Responsibilities: The successful candidate must hold a valid West Virginia Professional Teaching Certificate at the grade level appropriate for this assignment (grades 9-12). A regularly employed educator from the school location is preferred.
  • Develop and implement lessons based on individual student courses.
  • Coordinate groups of students assigned to the homebound site.
  • Communicate and coordinate between school, home, parent/guardian, teacher and Central Office administrator.
  • Collect and submit grades, attendance, progress reports, credits, as well as other reports as needed.
  • Maintain and organize supplies as needed for the site.
  • Organize homebound students, instructors, materials and instruction to ensure high expectations for course delivery.
  • Arrange for availability of technology, equipment, textbooks and materials as needed.
  • Coordinate work, assignments and grades between regular teacher and homebound site instructor commensurate to what the student would regularly complete for a high school credit.
  • Monitor IEPs and 504 documents to ensure that modifications are followed.
  • Maintain accurate records and submit reports in timely manner.
