External Senior Application Engineer (Conveyance & Sortation - Remote) - Daifuku America Corporation : Job Details

Works with the industrial engineering team, design analysis group, Sales, and customers to define system requirements and specifications. Designs large, sometimes complex static, semi-automated, and automated material handling systems; specifies auxiliary equipment and systems. Works with clients to specify peripheral equipment such as workstations, forklifts, carton erectors, case sealers, and other material handling equipment; evaluates alternative technologies. Write proposals, evaluates vendor offers, and estimates project costs, including working with other Wynright groups and vendors. Supports Sales, including visiting job sites for customer meetings and surveys. Creates plans and drawings, including drawings in AutoCAD 3 D and working with sheet sets. Ensures that designs are compliant with relevant codes, such as building, fire, CEMA, and OSHA - Reviews the work of other department members, providing training and mentorship.
