Role Description:

Private Lending Underwriting (PLU), based in Dallas, TX, underwrites loans to GS Private Wealth Management clients. Responsibilities include assessing, underwriting, documenting, and monitoring credit and business risks, with types of loans including real estate, private equity, art, and more.

This client-facing role requires a sound risk mindset, transactional expertise, and relationship management skills to deliver customized solutions and superior service.

Key Responsibilities:

• Evaluate risks and economic implications of transactions.
• Collaborate with regional teams to develop client solutions within risk parameters.
• Maintain understanding of Private Lending products and ensure underwriting standards are followed.
• Document loan structures and analysis for credit approval.
• Ensure loan documentation aligns with approved terms and monitor compliance.
• Interact with regulators and support the loan portfolio as needed.
• Communicate effectively with teams, clients, and stakeholders.

Qualifications & Skills:

• Bachelor's degree; MBA preferred for senior roles.
• CPA or CFA a plus.
• 3+ years in financial services (associate level) or 8+ years for VP roles.
• Experience in commercial or private banking underwriting or credit roles.
• Strong financial analysis, modeling, and communication skills.
• Self-motivated, team-oriented, flexible.
• No licensing required.
