The Security Shift Manager is responsible for the overall management of the shift and personnel, providing security and a safe environment while ensuring the protection of guests, team members, and Live! assets.

Responsibilities

Where You'll Make an Impact:

  • Manage programs, processes, and procedures that ensure the protection of Maryland Live's assets, including the safety and security of guests and team members.
  • Manage programs and processes to reduce and control loss time injuries.
  • Communicate and implement department procedures in accordance with the director and internal controls.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of Security Department training.
  • Investigate incidents and guest complaints, compiling data for accurate reports to the Gaming Commission and department heads.
  • Complete and investigate first reports of injury.
  • Provide input and assist with the preparation of performance reviews of supervisors and officers.
  • Other duties as assigned.

    Qualifications

    Must-Haves:

    • Minimum of three (3) years of supervisory experience in security or law enforcement.
    • At least three (3) years of work experience in a casino environment.
    • Four (4) year degree in a related field or equivalent work experience.
    • Ability to work in an environment with alcohol and smoking.
    • Must have the ability to secure and maintain licensure as required by the Virginia Gaming Control Board or other regulatory entities.
    Physical Requirements
    • Ability and energy to move about the large resort with a sense of urgency.
    • Alertness at all times.
    • Dexterity for daily activities and emergencies.
    • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
    • Ability to ascend and descend stairs.
    • Work in extreme temperatures (hot and cold).
    • Perform physical activities such as running, stooping, bending, and reaching.
    • Lift up to 50 lbs.
    • Ability to ride a bicycle and operate vehicles like Segways or golf carts.
