The Role Overview:

We are seeking a skilled Registered Dietitian to join our dynamic team at Cura Hospitality. In this role, you will assess and address the nutritional needs of our patients and residents, implement interventions aimed at maintaining or improving their nutritional health, and contribute positively to their overall quality of life. We provide the flexibility to craft a work schedule that suits your needs!

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver nutritional guidance to healthcare personnel and educate patients/residents, staff, and consultants.
• Adhere to the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics' standards of practice alongside facility regulations.
• Engage with various departments to develop policies, procedures, and troubleshoot any dining service and nutrition-related concerns.
• Participate actively in the enhancement and revision of quality improvement initiatives.

What We Are Looking For:

Essential Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in nutrition or a related field (if obtained prior to 2024).
• Master's degree in Nutrition or a related field.
• Successful completion of a national examination by the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR) or meet eligibility requirements of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics.
• Completion of 75 hours of continuing education every five years, in line with CDR guidelines.
• Licensure or certification in accordance with state regulations.
• Familiarity with regulatory standards related to comprehensive assessments, care planning, and residents' rights.
• Aptitude for teaching others about nutrition and dietetics.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in healthcare or long-term care settings.

Work Location:

• Natchitoches Regional Medical Center, located in Natchitoches, LA.

Compensation Details:

• Starting salary of $70,000, commensurate with experience.
