The Millwright Level 2 position is ideal for a seasoned professional who can effectively maintain and repair industrial machinery, conveyors, and mechanical systems related to forestry product manufacturing. This role emphasizes preventative and predictive maintenance practices and requires at least five years of experience in an industrial environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct maintenance and repairs on industrial equipment, including conveying systems and major machinery such as debarkers, canters, gang saws, and edgers.
  • Interpret drawings and printed instructions accurately.
  • Exhibit self-starter qualities and work safely under pressure.
  • Understand basic mechanics including pumps, sheaves, and sprockets.
  • Utilize hoists and dollies to maneuver machinery and equipment as necessary.
  • Adjust machine parts and fasteners using hand tools and measuring instruments to maintain clearances.
  • Align machines using hoists, jacks, and various hand tools.
  • Assemble and install machinery with precision using hand and power tools.
  • Drill holes and lay out mounting positions using measuring instruments.
  • Dismantle equipment safely with an array of hand tools.

Required Skills and Experience:

  • Experience with cutting torches (Oxygen/Acetylene) and welding (GMAW and SMAW).
  • A strong commitment to safety and compliance with ZES regulations.
  • Willingness to work overtime and be on-call to support operations.
  • 5 years of Millwright experience in an industrial or manufacturing environment or an Associate's degree in Industrial Maintenance.
  • Must pass a pre-employment drug screen, physical, and background check.
  • A Maintenance Assessment will be conducted to determine pay level, requiring a minimum score of 80.
