Your Role:
- Independently troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues with expertise
- Utilize strong problem-solving skills in programming and troubleshooting, especially with Allen-Bradley systems
- Ensure the reliability of manufacturing processes while adhering to compliance standards
- Conduct preventative and annual maintenance on equipment
- Safely operate hand tools, power tools, and electrical testing equipment
- Read and interpret mechanical, electrical, and control schematics accurately
- Follow all safety protocols, including Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures
- Plan and execute follow-up maintenance work effectively
- Maintain a safe and organized work environment
- Respond promptly to unplanned maintenance needs
- Accurately complete maintenance records and work orders
- Communicate maintenance updates clearly through written pass-downs
- Maintain and troubleshoot electronic controls and instrumentation
- Employ diagnostic tools (e.g., oscilloscope, VOM) for system testing and repairs
Qualifications:
- Must hold an Electrician/Maintenance Journeyman License in Michigan
- At least 3 years of manufacturing maintenance experience required
- Basic programming and advanced troubleshooting skills, preferably with Allen-Bradley
- High School diploma or GED equivalent
- Capable of troubleshooting PLCs and Ladder logic
- Willing to participate as part of the Hazmat team
- Strong electrical and mechanical aptitude
- Ability to read and interpret technical blueprints and engineering drawings
- Flexible with weekend and off-shift hours as needed
Preferred Qualifications:
- Computer literacy and eagerness to learn SAP/PPE systems
- Experience in Allen-Bradley programming and troubleshooting
- Maintenance experience in a food processing environment is a plus
- Proficient with test/calibration tools (RTD calibrators, multimeters, etc.)
- Ability to troubleshoot various circuit types: 480 VAC 3-phase, 120 VAC, and 24VDC
