SEACORP is seeking a well-qualified Experienced Electrical Engineer. Primary Duties and Responsibilities:Job Summary: SEACORP is seeking an Electrical Engineer with expertise in design, development, andtesting of electrical and RF hardware, wide-band DF and omnidirectional antennaarrays, visible and infrared imaging sensors, and/or special support equipment. Theideal candidate will have a strong background in design, manufacturing, andtesting, with a particular focus on transition from concept to production aswell as having worked on US government acquisition programs, principally USNavy electronics. Job Responsibilities Include:
- Design and develop electrical and RF hardware, antennas, and other various systems, ensuring compliance with US Military standards and specifications.
- Support and improve the manufacturing process ensuring high-quality production and adherence to project timelines.
- Participate in the development and sustainment of manufacturing process documentation (shop floor work routers, work instructions, test plans/procedures, etc.).
- Evaluate and disposition acceptance test results and provide technical oversight during testing, including use of test equipment (Vector Network Analyzer and Spectrum Analyzer) and understanding of test procedures.
- Take lead in troubleshooting of hardware issues resulting in test failures, conduct Root Cause Analysis and implementing corrective actions.
- Work on research and development projects to produce new designs, products, and processes.
- Collaborate with other SMEs to support new product introductions and ensure successful transfer from prototype to full-scale manufacturing.
- Directly support sourcing initiatives, including product evaluation and site visits as required.
- Prior experience in developing automated testing solutions for electronics and hardware using LabView, TestStand, Simulink or similar are a plus.
- Support the maintenance, development, and revision of Standard Operating Procedures to integrate process improvements, supplier changes, and new product introductions.
- Identify manufacturing process and equipment improvement opportunities, implement solutions, and ensure benefits are realized and results effectively communicated.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of RF systems into larger projects.
- Provide technical expertise and mentorship to junior engineers and technicians.
- Stay abreast of industry trends and advancements in RF technology and apply this knowledge to ongoing and future projects.
Qualifications:Education: Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field (Master's degree preferred). Experience: 3-5 years experience and/or 5+years. Desired Skills and Experience:
- Proven experience in RF hardware design, manufacturing, and testing.
- Experience with testing and characterization of RF components and systems, such as antennas, filters, and cables using Vector Network Analyzers (VNAs) and/or spectrum analyzers.
- Strong knowledge of US Navy electronics and relevant Military standards.
- Prior Navy electronics installation, troubleshooting, or service experience is preferred.
- Familiarity with automated testing systems and procedures.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Effective communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to mentor and guide less experienced team members.
