Position Overview:

We are actively seeking skilled diesel technicians to ensure that our trucks, trailers, and yard tractors are in optimal working condition and compliant with federal standards. Our distribution center is located at 4101 Lakeshore Parkway, Bessemer, AL 35022.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of one (1) year experience working on Class A trucks
• Proficient in air brakes, hydraulic & electrical systems
• Welding and fabrication experience required
• Tire repair experience is preferred
• Ability to perform DOT inspections and ensure compliance

Responsibilities:

• Diagnose and repair components of trucks and trailers, including doors, floors, side panels, electrical and air brake systems
• Perform preventive maintenance (PMs) on equipment and complete repair orders
• Ensure safety and reliability of all fleet vehicles, including tractors and trailers
• Adhere to all company policies and maintain a clean and safe work environment
• Assist drivers in addressing vehicle-related issues
• Utilize gauges, forklifts, shunt trucks, torches, grinders, and various hand and power tools safely
