Position Description

Join our team as a Permanent Full Time Experienced Mid-Level Diesel Technician to support our Truck Fleet at Ryder. We are seeking skilled individuals who are passionate about working on Heavy Duty Vehicles and providing top-notch maintenance.

  • Hourly Pay: $26.75 per hour
  • Quarterly Bonus: Earn up to $500 every quarter - that's four times a year!
  • Sign-On Bonus: Receive $1750 after 30 days and another $1750 at 90 days!
  • Schedule: Monday-Saturday, with one day off during the week
  • Hours: Second Shift Monday - Friday 10:30 am - 7:00 pm, Saturday 6:30 am - 3:00 pm

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Vocational or Technical Certification preferred
  • Basic tools required
  • Experience in mechanical repair of automotive gas or diesel engines, including routine preventative maintenance
  • A combination of two years of classroom training and work experience is preferred
  • Valid CDL CLASS A preferred
  • Must be able to obtain a CDL within 6 months of hire
  • Pass a Ryder Drug Test, DOT physical, Ryder road test, and background check

Responsibilities:

  • Perform vehicle maintenance and repair duties
  • Conduct standard vehicle maintenance and inspections
  • Diagnose mechanical and electronic problems using diagnostic tools
  • Interact with customers and drivers to accurately determine repair needs
  • Work in accordance with safety and compliance guidelines
  • Perform additional support duties as needed
