Job Description: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Dental Assistant to join our fast-paced, patient-focused dental practice. The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years of hands-on experience in dental assisting and a passion for providing excellent care. Key Responsibilities
- Assist the dentist during various procedures, including restorative, preventive, and surgical treatments
- Prepare treatment rooms, sterilize instruments, and ensure all necessary equipment is ready for patient use
- Take X-rays and assist with diagnostic tests
- Prepare and maintain patient records, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality
- Educate patients on oral hygiene, post-treatment care, and preventive measures
- Manage patient flow and ensure a smooth patient experience from start to finish
- Maintain a clean and organized environment, adhering to OSHA and infection control protocols
- Provide chairside support and ensure patient comfort throughout procedures
- Perform administrative duties as needed, including scheduling appointments, confirming visits, and processing insurance claims
Required Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Dental Assistant (minimum of 2 years preferred)
- Knowledge of dental procedures, terminology, and instruments
- Proficiency with dental software (e.g., Dentrix)
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Strong interpersonal skills and a compassionate, patient-centered approach
- Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and remain organized
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- A positive attitude and the ability to work well with a team
