Overview
The engineer should be familiar with structural, hydraulic, pneumatic, mechanical, and electrical equipment used in lifting and handling, with specific responsibility for all overhead cranes, forklifts, and personnel lifts.
Responsibilities include resolving technical problems, recommending design changes, liaising with vendors, and providing procedures and technical support to department repair and test personnel to support production operations.
The candidate should have a strong systems background to initiate and coordinate studies to improve equipment, optimize operating methods, expand existing hardware utilization, and develop new hardware as needed.
The individual must be capable of climbing to 150 feet above ground and comfortable working at this height. Field work in various climate conditions is required.
This position is onsite Monday through Friday, with core hours between 6:00 AM and 4:00 PM. Occasional after-hours and on-call work may be required.
