Under general supervision from a designated administrator, assist in the planning and coordination of administration and/or operational activities of substantial variety and complexity for two large academic departments in the Lindner College of Business: Operation, Business Analytics, & Information Systems (OBAIS) and the Management Department.

This position is a two-year appointment with the ability to extend based on performance and departmental need. FTE for this position can range from 75%-100% FTE (30-40 hours) and will be agreed upon with the finalist for the position.

This position will have the option of a hybrid work schedule (3 days in the office/2 days work from home) for those with a residence within OH/IN/KY following 90 days of training. Residence must be in the tri-state area within reasonable distance to UC Main Campus to have ability to report to campus as required. Remote work arrangements are subject to change in accordance with university policies.

Essential Functions
  • Gather and evaluate information (e.g., course syllabi, course evaluations).
  • Assist with the hiring of teaching and research assistants.
  • Coordinate the use of facilities and equipment and assist with department events (e.g., meetings, speakers, social gatherings).
  • Perform research concerning procedures and practices, identifying problems and recommending solutions.
  • Assist administrator in the interpretation of policies and procedures.
  • Coordinate personnel transactions.
  • Review, reconcile, and monitor expenditures on supplies, equipment, etc.
  • Coordinate details for faculty recruiting (transportation, lodging, meals).
  • Network and liaison with resources and various departments with LCB and throughout the University.
  • Promote compliance and liaison to ensure compliance with University and LCB policies.
  • Purchasing card, tracking, allocating in UC Flex system, track expenses (i.e. graduate assistant program budget).
  • Analyze surveys results and summary class evaluations.
  • Perform other related duties based on departmental need.
  • Bachelor's degree with one (1) year experience; -OR- Associate's degree with three (3) years' experience; -OR- five (5) years' experience.
  • Experience must be in high-level administrative support.
