Century Group is partnering with a client who is seeking a Senior Investment Accountant to join their team. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location. Expected starting base salary ranges from $90,000 to $120,000 per year.
Job Responsibilities :
Prepares journal entries, reconciliations, analysis, and supporting workpapers.Reviews and reconciles external property financials to Yardi and records fund cash activity in a timely manner.Reviews and processes property-level capital calls and monitors property self-escrowed cash balances.Prepares fund distribution and capital call calculations; ensures associated payments are made/received timely; updates and maintains Yardi accordingly.Ensures asset management fees and other required fee calculations are computed in accordance with relevant documents.Assists with the completion of interim and year-end external audit testing requests.Supports internal tax and investor relations teams' requests.Qualifications :
- Bachelor's degree, preferably in accounting.
- At least five (5) years of financial accounting experience in real estate investment, real estate development, private equity, or investment advisory, or three (3) years of public accounting experience.
- Good knowledge of GAAP, financial reporting, internal controls, etc.
Experience :
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel at an intermediate level) and accounting software (Yardi experience a plus).
- Well-organized and detail-oriented.
- Skilled in working across heavily matrixed organizations, requiring significant influencing and collaboration skills.
- Knowledge of fund budgeting, forecasting, and other reporting activities.
