The Executive Director is responsible for the efficient operations and overall management of the residence, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local standards to provide high-quality care and service to residents. The role includes hiring, evaluating, supervising staff, and managing the community's occupancy and culture.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS, DUTIES, and RESPONSIBILITIES:
Promote the mission and core values of the Residence and LCB Senior Living.Actively grow community occupancy through positive engagement with potential residents and professionals.Manage the overall operation of the Residence, delegating responsibilities when absent.Maintain open communication with staff, residents, families, and the organization.Ensure compliance with policies, laws, and regulations.Develop and implement quality improvement, strategic planning, and safety programs.Manage community outreach and partnerships with local service providers.Provide resources and support to staff for efficient operations.Implement financial and operational controls.Oversee staff orientation and training programs.Foster teamwork and improve service quality.Conduct staff performance reviews and enforce corrective actions fairly.Review incident reports and implement safety improvements.Prepare and manage the annual operating budget.Address resident complaints and grievances appropriately.Maintain comprehensive records of services provided.Ensure adequate staffing and backup coverage.Participate in required training and the Manager-on-Duty program.Perform other duties as assigned.LCB's Non-Discrimination Policy emphasizes equal opportunity employment regardless of race, religion, sex, or other protected characteristics.
Qualifications:
- Proficiency with office software and computer literacy.
- Strong management skills, ability to handle multiple priorities, and knowledge of long-term care standards.
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience in relevant fields.
- Minimum age of 25 with demonstrated supervisory experience.
- Relevant licenses or certifications as required by state/federal regulations, including an Assisted Living Administrator License in Rhode Island, CPR, and First Aid training. Valid driver's license required.
