Position Overview

The Executive Director will manage the day-to-day operations of the community, ensuring Memory Care residents experience elevated care and customer service, while achieving and maintaining maximum occupancy. The ED will oversee all departments to ensure smooth operation and meet projected budget objectives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Operate the community profitably by exceeding all budget and census guidelines. Follow and adhere to the budget, monitor staffing hours and overtime daily, and adjust staffing levels to avoid temporary staffing costs.
  • Foster positive relations with residents, families, and staff by responding promptly to their needs and concerns, and following up on unresolved issues.
  • Conduct marketing and sales activities, including public relations, prospect follow-up, and direct sales to maintain positive occupancy rates.
  • Recruit, hire, train, and supervise staff across all departments, providing performance coaching and counseling as needed.
  • Handle administrative duties such as preparing month-end reports, managing billing, accounts receivable/payable, payroll, and collections.
  • Maintain confidential, accurate records for residents, prospects, and staff, ensuring HIPAA compliance.
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, and company policies regarding community operation.
  • Assist with resident move-ins and periodically review residents' status to ensure appropriate placement based on their health and mental condition.
  • Have a basic understanding of Fair Housing Laws.
  • Education & Experience Requirements

    • 3-5 years of management experience in senior living or health services.
    • Current license or certification as required by state regulations.
    • Maintain continuing education credits as mandated by the state.
