About the Role
The Company is seeking an Executive Director of Development to join their team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing strategic direction, leadership, and daily management of the development office. This role involves serving as a key strategist for the department, maximizing relationships with current donors, and cultivating new, diverse audiences of support. The Executive Director will also be involved in crafting compelling cases for support, growing annual fund giving, and partnering with physician leaders to expand the pipeline of new friends of the hospitals. Additionally, the role includes serving as a front-line cultivator and solicitor, ensuring comprehensive stewardship of major gifts, and planning high-level donor events. Candidates for the Executive Director position should have a Bachelor's degree (advanced degree preferred) and at least 10 years of development experience, with a proven track record in securing significant gifts. Special skills required include the ability to work effectively with senior leadership, board members, and donors, as well as excellent communication and interpersonal skills. The role demands a high level of accountability, the ability to make data-driven decisions, and a commitment to the values of the organization. The ideal candidate will be a results-oriented professional with a strong background in fundraising strategies, and the flexibility to adapt plans to meet the needs of the organization and its partners.
