About the Role

The Company is seeking an Executive Director of Development to join their Medical and Healthcare Advancement senior leadership team. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the development team, strategically managing team members, and shaping the school's philanthropic priorities. This role involves crafting and implementing philanthropic plans, leading a comprehensive strategy to engage top prospects, and representing the organization in various meetings. The Executive Director will also be involved in fundraising, including identifying, qualifying, and stewarding a portfolio of key prospects, and will be expected to travel frequently for donor engagement. Applicants must have a Bachelor's degree and a minimum of 10 years of fundraising experience, with at least 5 years in a management capacity. The role requires a candidate with a strong background in fundraising, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively with senior officers, faculty, and high-level volunteers. Experience in a major gift capacity, capital campaign experience, and a proven record of successful fundraising are strongly preferred. The ideal candidate will be a creative and original thinker, with a strong commitment to diversity, and the ability to handle multiple projects while maintaining a sense of humor and joy in the workplace.
