Job Responsibilities:
The Executive Director of 340B, Inventory and Supply Chain Management will be an individual that is highly analytical and a strategic thinker. The individual will have a strong background in finance and a deep understanding of complex systems. They will be responsible for overseeing the 340B program, supply chain for retail pharmacies, home infusion pharmacies. wholesale distribution, and home medical equipment within the health system. This individual will possess strong problem-solving skills, innovation thinking, and a focus on improving efficiency and effectiveness across all supply chain operations and other business areas and in alignment with the health system Supply Chain. Individual reports to the COO at JH Care at Home. Individual supports and/ or leads purchasing negotiations collaboratively with internal and external key stakeholders to positively position JHCH. Chairs 340B Committees and meetings. Presents information to the Board of Trustees and Executive Oversight Committee. As a member of JHCH Corporate staff, Executive Direct of 340B, Inventory and Supply Chain Management is responsible for leading performance improvement initiatives focused on lowering expenses associated with patient care products and equipment.
Role Accountabilities Include:
- Develop, implement, and monitor comprehensive strategies for the 340B program, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and maximizing program benefits for the health system.
- Manage 340B operations related to the pharmaceutical supply chain.
- Direct inventory management and purchasing functions for Home Medical Equipment, Wholesale Distribution and Pharmacies across the company
- Direct and manage drug distributor contracts and direct from manufacturer contracts (both drug and data), serve as the local liaison for the Program to drug distributors, other JHHS purchasing representatives (both inside and outside of pharmacy), the group purchasing organization,
- and pharmaceutical manufacturers.
- Manage the day-to-day operations for the 340B Program including staffing, documentation and communication, and collaboration.
- Manage returns, credit and rebills, and adjustments to purchases for all 340B and non-340B purchases.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in finance, supply chain management, business administration or a related field; Advanced degree preferred.
- A minimum of 10 years of experience in supply chain management, with a focus on healthcare, pharmaceuticals, or medical equipment.
- 5 years experience required in 340B program and/or pharmaceutical or med/surg supply management and working knowledge of group purchasing organizations or combination of both.
- Financial and budgeting experience required
