• Lead state-of-the-art multi-parameter medicinal chemistry optimization with creativity, innovation, and in-depth analysis of data and literature.
• Drive compound design and synthetic route identification across all stages of the portfolio.
• Lead early target validation chemistry efforts to drive key decision points.
• Apply structure-based and fragment-based drug design strategies in a holistic hit/lead finding approach.
• Manage CRO chemistry teams with strategic clarity and robust synthetic/medicinal chemistry oversight.
• Represent Kymera externally with scientific and strategic clarity.
• Mentor and develop junior chemists and project leaders.

• PhD in organic/medicinal chemistry with extensive experience in biotech/pharma, including significant leadership in IND-enabling programs.
• Expert in medicinal chemistry strategies optimizing DMPK, pharmacology, and safety.
• Strong synthetic chemistry expertise and scientific creativity.
• Proven success as a project lead, leading cross-functional discovery teams.
• Strategic thinker, capable of high-level direction and hands-on problem-solving.
• Strong organizational, leadership, and communication skills.
