**Location:** Gainesville, Florida

**Management & Supervision**

**Overview:**Responsible for the overall direction, leadership, and administration of the organ procurement organization (OPO) operating under the policies, bylaws, and direction of the hospital governing board.

**Responsibilities:**The executive director is responsible for:

  • Developing and implementing the organization's strategic plan and ensuring compliance with oversight entities such as AHCA, CMS, and UNOS.
  • Submitting annual reports to the hospital CEO and Board Quality Committee.
  • Establishing and overseeing the development and execution of administrative, financial, hospital services, public relations, community education, professional education, quality assessment, performance improvement, and clinical operations.
  • Facilitating effective resource utilization (human, financial, material) aligned with organizational mission and goals.
  • Ensuring compliance with applicable local, state, and federal laws and regulations.
  • Developing and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders across 71 client hospitals, 3 transplant centers, and the 36-county service area.
  • Meeting regularly with transplant center physicians and surgeons.
  • Representing LifeQuest at local, regional, and national levels.
  • Adhering to UF Health Shands' personnel and financial policies, and monitoring expenditures accordingly.
  • Working closely with the advisory board, medical director, and management team to maximize organ donation quality programs and procedures.

    • **Qualifications:**- Master's Degree in healthcare or business-related discipline preferred, or bachelor's degree with 5 years of professional experience in an organ procurement organization (OPO), including 3 years in management.- Knowledge of OPO operations, including administration, growth, clinical operations, education, quality, and regulations.- Ability to multi-task and communicate complex concepts effectively.- Prior experience with a Board of Directors or Advisory Board preferred.- Previous experience as an OPO executive director, CEO, or COO preferred.
