The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership qualities, exceptional communication skills, and a passion for providing person-centered care in a supportive environment. This position requires autonomy, effective management of staff, and a commitment to upholding regulatory standards.Position: Executive DirectorEssential FunctionsLeadership and Management:
- Provide strategic leadership and oversight of all operations within the facility.
- Motivate, support, and manage staff to ensure a positive work environment and exceptional care for residents.
- Implement and maintain systems that streamline workflow and enhance efficiency.
Communication And Interpersonal Skills
- Foster open communication and positive relationships with staff, residents, families, and external stakeholders.
- Address resident and family concerns promptly and effectively.
- Collaborate with regulatory agencies and community organizations as a representative of Lakeshore Manor.
Financial And Operational Management
- Manage budget and cash flow, minimizing negative variances and deficits.
- Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations and maintain necessary licenses.
- Develop and implement operational policies and procedures to optimize facility functioning.
Staff Management And Team Building
- Recruit, hire, train, and supervise managerial employees.
- Maintain superior training programs to enhance staff performance and satisfaction.
- Foster a culture of pride, quality, and professional development among all staff members.
Resident And Family Engagement
- Maintain high resident retention rates by addressing resident and family needs and concerns.
- Implement person-centered initiatives that prioritize resident well-being and satisfaction.
Community Engagement And Representation
- Actively participate in local, state, and professional organizations to represent Lakeshore Manor.
- Build relationships with the community to enhance the facility's reputation and engagement.
Safety And Compliance
- Ensure a safe working and living environment by implementing and monitoring safety practices.
- Stay updated on industry standards, regulations, and best practices.
Qualifications
- A Bachelor's Degree from a four-year college or university; or one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- At least 3 years' experience as an LNHA/Executive Director
- Training or experience in gerontology and/or hospitality is valuable.
- A clean driving record with no more than one violation and/or accident within the past 5 years is required for this position.
