About the Role:

The role involves developing strategic plans, leading the Preclinical Pharmacokinetics function, providing scientific leadership, and overseeing the identification and characterization of clinical candidates with suitable drug development profiles. The position plays a key role in advancing Neurocrine's development compounds, participating in all stages of Preclinical Pharmacokinetic assessments, from screening to regulatory submissions, and collaborating with internal and external teams to ensure timely and accurate dissemination of data.

Your Contributions (include, but not limited to):

  • Provide strategic leadership and oversight for the Preclinical Pharmacokinetic function.
  • Develop and implement departmental strategies for evaluating Preclinical Pharmacokinetics, including training, techniques, and equipment updates.
  • Lead and manage preclinical pharmacokinetic studies, interpretation, and reporting.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to establish lead candidate characteristics and design relevant studies.
  • Design and conduct pharmacokinetic and toxicokinetic/pharmacodynamic studies to support clinical development.
  • Oversee preparation of regulatory documents' pharmacokinetic sections.
  • Participate in research and development teams strategically and tactically.
  • Present data summaries to peers, management, and regulatory agencies.
  • Develop SOPs for pharmacokinetics activities as needed.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's in chemistry, life sciences, or related field with 17+ years of pharmaceutical/biotech experience and management experience, including managing CROs and preparing regulatory documents, or
  • MS in Pharmacokinetics, Pharmaceutical Sciences, or related discipline with 15+ years of experience, or
  • PhD or PharmD with 12+ years of relevant experience.

Additional qualifications include demonstrated leadership, extensive experience managing CROs, knowledge of regulatory guidance, strategic thinking, excellent communication, and leadership skills.

The annual base salary ranges from $262,300 to $379,800, with additional benefits including bonuses, equity incentives, retirement plans, paid leave, and health benefits.
