The Thrasher Group is seeking a highly organized, energetic, and adaptable Events and Marketing Specialist to join our in-house marketing team. This role is perfect for a resourceful professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys wearing many hats. From coordinating internal events to managing client-facing conferences, this role supports nearly every corner of the business and offers opportunities for creativity, strategic thinking, relationship building, and problem-solving. Key Responsibilities Event Planning & Execution
- Coordinate and execute a wide range of events, including company picnics, open houses, ribbon cuttings, groundbreakings, golf outings, client appreciation events, and industry tradeshows and conferences.
- Manage logistics such as registration, booth materials, travel arrangements, hotel blocks, catering, guest lists, vendor communication, and more.
- Maintain a robust events calendar - breaking down details and deadlines - and prioritize overlapping timelines effectively.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for both internal staff and external partners related to events.
- Work together with internal teams to plan and execute relationship-focused strategies around key events.
- Represent the company at events as needed, with professionalism and enthusiasm.
Marketing & Content Support
- Capture and organize event content for social media, working alongside our digital team to tell stories and build excitement pre- and post-event.
- Assist in brainstorming and implementing creative digital follow-ups to extend event impact.
- Collaborate with the marketing team on proposal development, contributing to writing, formatting, and assembling materials.
Administrative & General Marketing Tasks
- Help manage event inventory, organize promotional and booth materials, and ensure supplies are ordered and prepped for upcoming engagements.
- Occasionally assist with basic graphic design in Canva, write short press releases, or coordinate delivery of client gifts and marketing collateral.
- Support the broader marketing team as needed with other creative projects and outreach efforts.
Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, or a related field preferred
- 13 years of relevant experience in marketing, events, or communications
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple concurrent projects and timelines
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Friendly, outgoing, and confident in interacting with internal team members and external clients
- Ability to accept feedback with a growth mindset and remain composed under pressure
- Experience with Microsoft Office, Canva, and social media platforms preferred
- Occasional travel including potential evenings and weekends may be required for event attendance and execution
