Why the Event Director is important to Bright:

As an Event Director, you are responsible for building strong relationships with our clients who produce large scale complex events. You will work very closely with our sales and ops team to ensure that all the details of the events are executed to company standards and client expectations. You will do this by conducting site visits, internal communications, on site supervision and exceptional customer service and follow up.

About You

· Proficient in event market knowledge including vendors, planners, caterers, production companies.

· Highly organized with excellent time management skills

· Excellent project management skills with attention to detail while managing several projects simultaneously

· Highly competent in building relationships and rapport with clients and team members

· Ability to handle pressure, multi-task and work with tight schedules/deadlines

· Proficient in sales, negotiations, and interpersonal skills

· Action-oriented to quick decision making in response to changing conditions

· Innovative and creative problem-solving skills

· Team player willing to jump in and roll up his/her sleeves to help others.

Your contributions to the Bright Team:

· Acquire and develop strong relationships with clients to evaluate client needs to determine and suggest appropriate rental needs for their events.

· Product expert to guide and upsell to client rental needs by demonstrating persuasive selling communication style.

· Communicate effectively with a diverse team of personalities and communication styles.

· Conduct meetings, site visits, showroom appointments to gather and provide details of event to input in our rental management system with the support of the Event Consultant Team.

· Follow company procedures accurately and with urgency while working on multiple events at any given time.

· Work with several teams including sales, business development, inventory and operations teams to provide all necessary information for successful execution of the events.

Physical Demands and Abilities:

· Ability to foster relationships with employees and develop trust-building strategies.

· Communicate effectively with a diverse team of personalities and communication styles.

· Open availability including early mornings, late nights, and weekends; open to having a constant changing schedule to meet the needs of clients and ensure flawless execution of events.

· Maintain a valid driver's license and reliable transportation

· Ability to stand/walk for extended periods of time.
