Department Overview The W&D
Event Department plans and executes events for both W&D employees and external clients. They prioritize creating outstanding client experiences to maximize the value of the event for the attendees and to support the business goals. The department also collaborates with Human Resources to improve community engagement and marketing efforts focused on strengthening client relationships.
The Impact You Will Have This position will report to the Senior Vice President, Events and support the Event activities for Walker & Dunlop. The candidate must be a flexible team player; highly organized, detailed oriented and able to thrive in a high volume, fast-paced, collaborative and creative environment.
Primary Responsibilities - Assist with the execution of event timelines and schedules.
- Prepare and distribute event-related materials, such as invitations, handouts and schedules.
- Assist in the creation and printing of name tags, escort cards, etc. for events.
- Provide on-site customer service support at events, as needed.
- Maintain up-to-date RSVP lists for various events, as assigned.
- Assist with invoice processing and expensing.
- Manage event correspondence, including emails, phone calls and written communication.
- Ensure accuracy of event data in Salesforce by updating records, creating campaigns, tagging contacts to campaigns, running reports in connection with meetings & events.
- Assist in reordering branded items, conference supplies, gifts, as assigned.
- Coordinate and ship event supplies, giveaways, branded items to off-site locations.
- Collaborate and implement company sponsorship deliverables, as assigned.
- Engage in other duties as assigned.
- Attendance is generally required from 8:30 am - 5:30 pm local time, Tuesday through Thursday, with the option to work remotely on Mondays and Fridays.
Education and Experience - Bachelor's degree in an undergraduate program at an accredited university.
- 0 - 3 plus years of experience in a corporate setting, working on projects requiring analytical, administrative, technical, and interpersonal skills.
- Previous customer service or hospitality experience preferred.

- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint
- Experience with Salesforce
- Experience with Cvent, Bizzabo and/or Asana preferred
