Rooted in a culture of service to Colorado Springs and living for Jesus, we are a welcoming, dynamic community committed to faith, connection, and compassion. We are looking fora part time, evening shift receptionist who can ensure that all individuals who walk into First Pres or reach us via phone are greeted with a warm welcome. Specifically, this position helps provide accurate and timely information regarding our different ministry events and helps answer questions from the congregation and individuals visiting First Pres for the first time. This position is scheduled Monday-Thursday, 4:30PM-9:00PM. We anticipate this role to work roughly 18-20 hours per week. QualificationsEducation Requirements:
- High school diploma required.
Experience Requirements:
- Minimum of one years' experience in reception work or two years in customer service, religious or non-profit environment required.
- Experience with multiple generations preferred.
- Experience with administrative and clerical procedures.
Skills Requirements:
- Proficiency with multi-line phone system including holds, forwards, voicemail, and proper phone etiquette.
- Ability to manage and prioritize multiple needs and guests at one time.
- Excellent verbal and written communication.
- Proficient use of computers including email, internet, instant messaging, and database navigation.
- Active listening skills and ability to reflect customer needs.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, multi-stakeholder environment with minimal supervision.

Position Requirements:
- Essential to this job is the physical ability to be mobile with repetitive motion of standing for greetings, and good hearing in a noisy lobby.
- Being a friendly and welcoming presence as individuals enter and exit the building.
- Supports the congregation and visitors by answering questions, listening, or referring them to those who can help.
- Oversees the reception desk by ensuring each person who enters the church during business hours has an appropriate reason and known destination with tactful inquiries.
- Answers phones as a first point of contact for outside calls.
- Being up to date on all the day's events as well as those larger events coming up.
- Searches for information in the database and Rock management system.
- Sales and distribution of First Pres merchandise.
- Facilitates hospital equipment check-in and check-outs.
- Accepts registrations and payments for upcoming events.
- Manages the lost and found.
- Manages the acceptance and delivery of packages and mail.
- Facilitates correspondence, emails, and mailings promptly and professionally.
- Other duties as applicable to the position or to advance the ministry of First Pres.
