Salary: $18.00 Hourly Location : Caswell County Campus, NC Job Type: Part-Time Job Number: PSP21025ACSC01 Division: Student Development - Person Department: Student Services Opening Date: 09/09/2024 Description Under general supervision, coordinates and administers student support services to enrolled and prospective students during evening and weekend hours. Support services included but are not limited to admissions application, FAFSA application, course registration, graduation processing, withdrawals, hosting information sessions, and evening student orientations. Tentative Work Schedule: Caswell County Campus - 2 evenings each week and 3rd Saturday each month. Availability to sub as needed. Examples of Duties Essential Duties • Coordinates and administers student support services to enrolled and prospective students, such as but not limited to admissions application, FAFSA application, course registration, graduation processing, petitioning, withdrawals, assistance with Self-Service concerns, information sessions, and evening student orientations. • Serves as the primary backup to various offices within Student Development • Provides coverage for our Help Desk in person and virtually • Reviews Student Development departmental webpages for accuracies and updates • Directs students to appropriate advisor or departments by scheduling appointments and/or beginning the process for the student. • Provides support to faculty in the evening. • Attends College meetings as feasible. • Serves on College committees as appropriate. • Performs other tasks as assigned that support the mission and initiatives of Student Development and the College. • Other duties as assigned Typical QualificationsEducation and Experience: Requires Bachelor's degree from a regionally accredited institution with one year of experience in related field or Associate's degree in education or related field with three years of experience in related field. Supplemental InformationSpecialized Training: Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities • Customer service experience • Social media, websites and marketing experience • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite • Detail oriented • Possess organizational and analytical skills • Ability to work well with individuals of diverse backgrounds • Experience working with public, two-year institutions • Good oral and written communication skills Physical Demands This job requires continuously talking or hearing, frequently standing, frequently walking, frequently reaching with hands and arms, frequently gripping, or feeling with hands, typing/repetitive movement, occasionally climbing or balancing, occasionally stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling, occasionally sitting. Occasionally required to lift up to 10 pounds. Working Conditions While performing the duties of this job, the employee may be exposed to indoor environment.
