Job Description :

Ultimate Staffing Services is actively seeking a meticulous and detail-oriented Estimator to join their client's team in Houston. The Estimator will be responsible for creating accurate and efficient printing estimates using company standards and pricing structures. This role is essential in ensuring cost-effective production plans and requires strong analytical skills, vendor sourcing capabilities, and a deep understanding of printing processes.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze project documentation to prepare time, cost, materials, and labor estimates.
  • Source and evaluate multiple vendors when necessary.
  • Engineer optimal production plans for each project.
  • Provide quotes based on the most economical and efficient production methods.
  • Plan jobs using various substrates and printing techniques.
  • Perform job cost analysis and identify cost-saving opportunities.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of materials and production capabilities.
  • Prepare estimates for management use in planning and scheduling.
  • Identify appropriate suppliers and internal resources for each quote.
  • Collaborate with sales, vendors, and internal departments to resolve estimate-related issues.
  • Communicate pricing, timelines, and project details to customers.
  • Participate in ongoing training to enhance technical skills and industry knowledge.
  • Generate and maintain required reports.
  • Work flexible hours as needed to meet deadlines.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in business administration or associate's degree from a two-year college or technical school.
  • Minimum of 2 years of related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Previous experience in reprographics is preferred.
  • Strong customer service and follow-through skills.
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, Photoshop, Excel, Word, and other relevant software.
  • Solid understanding of small format, large format, and color production processes.
  • Ability to troubleshoot production issues and communicate solutions effectively.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow complex procedures.
  • Excellent multitasking and time management skills.
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Proven ability to build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

Additional Details

  • Monday - Friday, 8am - 5pm
  • Salary is fixed at $22 per hour.
