Responsibilities:

• Prepare comprehensive and detailed cost estimates for civil construction projects

• Review project plans, specifications, and documentation to determine scope and project needs

• Collaborate with engineers, subcontractors, and project managers to gather accurate data

• Conduct quantity takeoffs and evaluate material and labor costs

• Identify risks, value engineering opportunities, and cost-saving measures

• Develop and submit complete bid packages on time

• Attend pre-bid meetings and perform site visits to assess conditions

• Manage awarded projects from start to finish, ensuring safety, profitability, and timely completion

• Monitor project progress, adjust timelines, and coordinate with stakeholders as needed

Role requirements:

• Proven ability to manage civil site work projects from estimating through completion

• Strong decision-making, time management, and problem-solving skills

• Comfortable working independently and as part of a cross-functional team

• Ability to interpret blueprints and technical drawings

• Experience using estimating and project management software

Preferred skills or experience:

• Solid understanding of construction methods, materials, and site development practices

• Familiarity with subcontractor coordination and construction scheduling

• Previous experience attending bid meetings and interacting directly with clients

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent work experience)

• 2-5+ years of hands-on experience in estimating and managing civil construction projects

• OSHA certification or demonstrated commitment to job site safety is a plus
