Job Description :

A private family seeks an experienced professional Estate Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of a private oceanfront estate. The ideal candidate must be self-motivated, self-driven, and willing to go above and beyond to get the job done. This job will require managing construction projects on the property.

Responsibilities:

  • Maintaining operations of a large estate and managing multiple compounds within the property.
  • Supervise and perform routine tasks such as walking the property and performing regular inspections to ensure proper function.
  • Responsible for upkeep, maintenance, repairs, and emergency response for all building structures.
  • Overseeing the upkeep of the landscape and maintenance of the grounds.
  • Creating checklists and systems to implement that promote better results in the work environment.
  • Overseeing all exterior structures and amenities such as swimming pools and fountains.
  • Basic handyman skills and the ability to troubleshoot and fix various issues related to the property before contacting a third-party vendor.
  • Coordinate and schedule outside vendors and contractors.
  • Oversee vendor performance, ensuring work is completed to the highest standards.
  • Full oversight of all construction projects on the property.
  • Budget management and record keeping of all expenses related to outside vendors, contractors, repairs, and all financial spending related to the property.
  • Caring for all vehicles and other machinery.
  • Updating the owners of any foreseeable issues and always maintaining an open line of communication.

Requirements:

  • A minimum of 5 years relevant work experience.
  • Excellent references from current and previous positions.
  • Proven experience overseeing private large estates and working with high-profile individuals.
  • Excellent computer skills required, including Word, Outlook, Excel, Internet, and email.
  • Experience supervising household staff and working with service staff and other outside vendors.
  • Strong knowledge and hands-on experience with HVAC systems, plumbing, electrical systems, and alarm/security systems.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Handyman/Repair experience is required.
