Job Description Summary Environmental Stress Screening (ESS) aims to reveal hidden defects and reliability needs by applying accelerated environment stresses, such as vibrations or thermal cycling, to a product, using various testing procedures. ESS testing helps to prepare products for real-world applications; testing conditions are often the most extreme the product may face and can expose component failures. Thermal testing may find faults related to seal and gasket failures, insufficient wiring insulation and other component-level defects.
