Our client is seeking a Technical Project Manager to prepare them for plant readiness in anticipation of a new ERP implementation. This consulting position does have the long-term potential to convert to an FTE. This position reports to a Division President. Today, the work location can be remote, but once the position goes permanent, the work location will be onsite in Pennsylvania. Relocation assistance will be made available at that time. About the position - The ERP Implementation Project Manager will organize and lead the ongoing customization and eventual implementation of a new ERP solution being built using IFS Cloud (ERP) software as its core. This role involves planning and managing of software customization and implementation projects, including eventual end-user training. The position is integral to delivering a modern ERP environment for a highly successful manufacturing firm migrating from a variety of manual and legacy systems into a modern ERP platform. Responsibilities - * Plan and manage projects, developing and maintaining detailed project plans and schedules. * Serve as the key liaison and communication channel between project teams and leadership. * Drive day-to-day project activities leveraging the project plan. * Work collaboratively with departmental users and leadership to establish roles and responsibilities and define project schedules. * Lead teams through all phases of project delivery, including planning, functional, and technical solution scoping, and end-user training. * Lead and coordinate the development and completion of project deliverables, including detailed project plans and data migration plans. * Identify, communicate, and manage project issues and risks, driving their resolution through proactive planning. * Lead preparation and facilitate internal and external team meetings and content. * Manage overall project scope to the defined statement of work and work plan. * Utilize ERP, project management, and manufacturing/business experience to guide sound business decisions regarding process design. * Lead the planning, preparation, and delivery of configuration, testing, data conversion, and training activities. Job Requirements Requirements - * Bachelor's Degree in Operations Management, Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or related field. * Seven or more years of related experience in consulting roles with a focus on ERP implementations and project management. * Direct experience in project management roles working on at least two end-to-end ERP software implementations. * Knowledge and experience in the Manufacturing industry. * Project Management skills with success leading large or small projects through project delivery. * Effective communication and facilitation skills, including development and delivery of communication content. * Demonstrated organization and task management skills, including concurrent ownership of multiple aspects of project delivery. * Ability to effectively manage project schedules and resources, including the use of Outlook and other calendar tools. * Mastery in the use of the Microsoft Office suite, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and MS Project, along with Gantt Charts. Nice-to-haves - * IFS Cloud experience and IFS Practitioner Certification(s) preferred. * Hands-on experience with software configuration, prototyping, and testing is a plus. * Experience in business process analysis and design, in processes including Order-to-Cash and Procure-to-Pay.
