About the Role
A fast-growing consulting firm is seeking a Director to join its Technology Consulting – Digitization & Automation practice. This senior leadership role is responsible for managing a portfolio of system transformation projects, driving revenue growth, and ensuring delivery excellence across all engagements.
The Director will act as a trusted advisor to client executives, lead and mentor project leaders, and help shape the overall strategy, methodology, and growth of the practice. This is a fully accountable role for revenue generation, client portfolio health, and practice-level profitability, while remaining hands-on in select high-impact projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead a portfolio of client engagements across system transformation offerings (selection, assessment, optimization, implementation, and tech strategy), ensuring high-quality delivery, client satisfaction, and profitable outcomes.
- Manage and develop senior managers and managers, supporting execution excellence, team development, and career growth.
- Drive revenue growth through business development, client expansion, cross-selling, and pipeline management.
- Serve as executive sponsor for key engagements, providing strategic oversight and stepping in for critical delivery components when needed.
- Oversee portfolio-level resourcing and profitability, meeting utilization, margin, and quality goals.
- Contribute to practice strategy—including go-to-market planning, service line development, and methodology evolution—in partnership with senior leadership.
- Strengthen and grow vendor alliances (e.g., NetSuite, Sage Intacct, D365) to expand service offerings and market presence.
- Represent the practice in thought leadership, client strategy sessions, and speaking engagements.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, Computer Science, or related field; Master's degree preferred.
- 10+ years of progressive consulting experience, including 3+ years overseeing large teams and complex client portfolios.
- Strong track record of revenue generation and growing client relationships within a professional services environment.
- Demonstrated experience advising C-level executives and leading technology-enabled finance transformations.
- Deep ERP and finance systems expertise (SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, Sage Intacct, or Microsoft.
- Proven success in mentoring senior team members and scaling delivery teams.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience launching or scaling a service line or regional practice within a consulting organization.
- Established network in SaaS, biotech, or manufacturing sectors with the ability to leverage for business growth.
- Familiarity with global delivery models and cross-border team collaboration.
