Job Title: PJM Power TraderLocation: New York, NY Position Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled and commercially driven PJM Trader to join our dynamic trading desk at a leading asset management firm in New York City. The ideal candidate will have deep experience in energy markets, particularly power trading, and a proven track record of generating alpha through strategic trading and portfolio optimization. Key Responsibilities:

• Execute and manage power trades across multiple U.S. markets (e.g., PJM, NYISO, ISO-NE).
• Develop and implement trading strategies to optimize portfolio performance and manage risk.
• Monitor market fundamentals, including supply-demand dynamics, transmission constraints, and regulatory developments.
• Collaborate with analysts and portfolio managers to align trading decisions with broader investment objectives.
• Utilize quantitative tools and models to identify trading opportunities and assess market conditions.
• Maintain compliance with internal risk limits and external regulatory requirements.
• Contribute to the development of proprietary trading systems and analytics platforms.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Engineering, or a related field; advanced degree or certifications (e.g., CFA, FRM) preferred.
• 5-12 years of experience in power trading, preferably within asset management or energy trading firms.
• Strong understanding of U.S. power markets and regulatory environments.
• Proficiency in trading platforms and analytical tools; experience with Python, R, or SQL is a plus.
• Demonstrated success in managing risk and delivering consistent trading performance.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
