The Emergency Room (ER) Technician provides essential support to the Emergency Department by assisting with patient care under the supervision of licensed nursing staff. This role ensures the department operates efficiently by maintaining a clean, organized, and well-stocked environment while fostering effective communication with the care team. Essential Functions Provides direct patient care in the emergency department by performing a variety of clinical interventions and technical procedures, including but not limited to: splint application, Foley catheter insertion, blood glucose monitoring (accuchecks), vital sign collection, electrocardiograms (EK - Gs), and intravenous (IV) insertion, in accordance with scope of practice and under the direction of licensed clinical staff.
