Equipment Operator. The starting pay rate for this position is $36.91/hour, followed by an increase to $38.75/hour after successfully completing probation. Colorado Springs Utilities' Water Construction and Maintenance team is hiring an Equipment Operator to support our crews by safely operating a variety of equipment, as you assist with water maintenance and repair projects and emergency response efforts. Our team is responsible for maintaining physical assets (e.g., water mains, valves, hydrants) used to distribute water to the community. A day in the life of an Equipment Operator may include:Operating a wide variety of equipment for routine maintenance and repair projects, including, but not limited to: rubber tire backhoes, front-end loaders, skid steers, and construction hand tools Following safety rules and company standards.
