Equipment Mechanics  Automation Personnel Services is looking for a Equipment Mechanics for a company based in Houma, La. In this role, you will have the opportunity to …  maintain, diagnose, repair, and adjust various types of industrial machinery and equipment.

Pay Rate  $16.00 - $22.00 per hour 

Schedule and Hours  Monday through Friday, 8 00 am to 5 00 pm. 

Equipment Mechanics Duties and Responsibilities

• Conducting regular maintenance checks and scheduling repairs as needed.

• Troubleshooting equipment and diagnosing faulty operation.

• Implementing preventative maintenance measures to enhance equipment longevity.

• Replacing damaged or obsolete components in machinery.

• Collaborating with other team members to enhance system performance.

• Ensuring compliance with all health and safety regulations in the workplace.

• Documenting and maintaining records of inspections, repairs, and maintenance activities.

Equipment Mechanics Qualifications and Requirements

• No smoking on property

• Drug & alcohol-free workers only

• Positive, professional attitudes are essential

• Must bring lunch daily – leaving the job site is not permitted

• A proactive and analytical approach to identifying and resolving equipment issues.

• Some positions may require physical stamina for standing, walking, and lifting equipment.

• Ability to communicate effectively with colleagues, supervisors, and sometimes customers.

Dress Code & Equipment

All crew members must come properly dressed and equipped:

• Long sleeve shirts (gray or navy blue only – no graphics)

• Long work pants (no holes or distressing)

• Steel toe work boots

• Safety helmet

• Safety glasses

• Safety gloves

• Dust mask

• Box Knife

• Hammer

Pre-Employment Requirements

All workers must be able to complete the following prior to placement:

• I-9 Employment Verification

• 10-Panel Drug Screening

• Background Check

• Lift Test

• Safety Assessment

Additional Preferences:

• OSHA 10 Certification (PLUS)

• Bilingual (PLUS)

Job Type  Full-time, temporary
